New PhD Student

Our researcher Cátia Soares just started her PhD in Biotechnology! She holds a Bachelor in Biochemistry and a Master in Biotechnology both from @fctnova . She believes that her research will contribute to implement protein-based materials as sustainable and functional bio-based materials. We wish you all the luck! #PROTEIOS_project

Advanced Computing Project Winner

Arménio Barbosa won an advanced computing project BioM2D (BioMaterials Molecular Dynamics) from RNCA, Fundação para Ciência e a Tecnologia, INCD (2022.15912.CPCA). The project will study the assembly and molecular interactions of biomaterials for biopharmaceutical purification, on the Portuguese HPC infrastructure. Congratulations!

Research Fund Grant Winner

Margarida Dias won a research fund grant (R22-1009764370) from Royal Society of Chemistry for “OPTIM – Aqueous spinning of peptide-rich optical fiber mats”. Congratulations!

Master Students at JIM 2023

Last week, our master students in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine, Catarina Faustino and Madalena Garcia, presented  the thesis work developed so far  at JIM 2023: Jornadas Intercalares de Mestrados. Congratulations for both presentations!
