Welcome to the Team! ✨
We’re excited to announce two new members joining our lab:
Carolina Pestana is an undergraduate student in Cellular and Molecular Biology at NOVA-FCT. By joining our Lab, her main objective is to gain more practical experience in the real world of scientific research and to better understand the realities of research work. Carolina seeks to develop technical and scientific skills that will further complement her academic training and contribute to a future career path.
Sarah Nicastro is an undergraduate Chemistry student with an emphasis on Biotechnology at the University of São Paulo (USP). She has previous research experience in a Proteomics laboratory, where she worked on a project focused on neutrophils and the formation of Neutrophil Extracellular Traps (NETs). She joins our Lab as a research intern under the supervision of PhD student Carolina Natal. In this role, she will work on the synthesis of affinity ligands for the purification of recombinant proteins by affinity chromatography. Sarah is highly motivated by chemistry and scientific research and aims to deepen her experimental experience while contributing to the development of the project in an interdisciplinary environment.
